About Anya Conzo

At the age of 18, Anya relocated from the Ukraine to the United States where she continued her secondary education at Middlesex County College in New Jersey. However, she realized a year into college that her heart’s true passion was in the beauty industry, so she enrolled in and began her cosmetology studies at the Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology and Nail Design in Columbia, South Carolina. She graduated in 2004 with 1,500 hours of study and practical application in the Art of Cosmetology.

After receiving her diploma in cosmetology, Anya had the privilege of working with master hair stylists at a number of reputable salons along the East Coast. Many of these salons were network partners of industry leading companies such as the AVEDA Institute, Paul Mitchell, L’Oréal, L’ANZA, Tahe and Salerm. Her time at these brand exclusive salons provided Anya with extensive knowledge and experience with numerous hair care product lines.

Dreaming of Curls and Curly Girls

In 2013, Anya moved from New York to Atlanta where she joined Christina Carsillo at Haarmony Salon and Studio and began her training in curly hair.

Anya explains …

I could not have wished for a better teacher. Within the first few days of training and being surrounded by all kinds of curls, I knew I had found my place. I was not able to sleep, because I was dreaming of curls and all the curly women that I could help!

Anya has since become certified in the DevaCurl Professional Level 1: Deva Inspired and Level 2: Deva Advanced stylist training courses. She includes many people from all walks of life in her list of clientele, including models, singers and other talented individuals in the entertainment industry. She has even created styles for American Idol contestants.

Anya currently resides in the Roswell area with her two daughters. Since she is a mother, she has a keen understanding of the needs of little girls when it comes to self-esteem. One of her joys in life is to bring a smile to a child’s face by making her feel pretty. Most little girls have wished at one time or another to be a princess. In her own way, the magically gifted Anya Conzo helps make those wishes come true.

My goal is to help one curly girl at a time and educate her on how to care for and embrace her naturally curly, beautiful hair.
